Can't find HyperTerminal

It seems that I removed hyperterminal and don't know how to get it back
I've already done the "add remove programs" control panel and selected
"add/remove windows components" but none of the available options include
hyperterminal (even after double clicking on all of them to check) it
appears that the "communications" components are missing from my add-remove
options.

Where can I find Hyperterminal (install CDs? Web?)

Thanks in advance,
Mark

The file is hypertrm.exe in program files/windows NT.
If you dont have it, I can send it to you. I'm not sure what other program
(a .dll) is needed to be able to run it

I don't have it. You can send it to my yahoo account (durrenm at yahoo dot
com)

but I'd really like to know how to get all the communications tools back...

Go
Control Panel
Add/Remove Programs
Add/Remove Windows Components
Accessories and Utilities
Details button
Communications
Details button
Hyper Terminal

untick to remove click OK
then
tick to reinstall it.

I tried to convey in my original post that I had done this with no success.
I guess I wasn't clear enough.
Go
Control Panel
Add/Remove Programs
Add/Remove Windows Components

I get this far but do not have "Accessories and Utilities" nor do I have
"Communcations" as options in the a/r programs

I have:
Exporer
Internet information services (IIS)
Management and monitorng
Message Queuing
Network services
other network services
outlook express
script debugger
windows media player

Thanks,
Mark

Find a file in C:\winnt\inf called sysoc.inf

Open it in Notepad and remove all entries of the word

hide

leave all the commas in place though

Save the file after removing the word hide

Then try the previous directions
