Can't find file "framedyn.dll"

B

Bill Rueck

Receiving an error when right clicking on "my computer" saying file
"framedyn.dll" can't be found. MS says I should copy the file fron the
"dll cache" folder and paste it in the "wbem" folder". The problem is
that the "framedyn, dll" file is not in the "dllcache" folder. I find a
"framedyn.dll" file in the" i386" folder. I'm not sure it's the right
file to copy. Any advice is welcome. Thanks, Bill

Hi

Latest version of framedyn.dll is dated 4th August 2004 and is 182 KB. If
those two are correct in the i386 folder, then you can copy/paste that file
to the wbem folder.

As Will said. Also, the latest version number is 5.1.2600.2180

The i386 folder usually contain files in compressed format (indicated by an
underscore at the end of the file name/extension, say for example:
framedyn.dl_ )

If the file is compressed, you need to expand it using the Windows XP's
Expand command-line.

In this case the install source is your i386 folder.
