can't find explorer file

lost desktop icon for explorer
went to control panel to remove can't find it.
go to download new version get error message saying new version already
loaded.

Did you click on "Add/Remove Windows Componants" on the Add/Remove Programs Box? The explorer icon shouild be there if its not checked check it and that should solve your problem.
