Ive been struggling to get a command prompt for Visual Studio because DOS
cannot accept long directory names for some reason, then I read about
corvars.bat that will fix the environment variables, but cannot find this
file.

Its it a simple download?

Look for sdkvars.bat in the .NET 2.0 SDK. I believe this does the samething
as corvars.bat did in .NET 1.1. ???

Not 100% sure, I usually use the VS IDE.

Just reread this. You say you are "struggling to get a command prompt for
Visual Studio". That implies you already have VS installed, no? Why not
use the VS Command Prompt shortcut from the Visual Studio Tools start menu
program folder?

Yes I have VS2003 installed.

It is impossible to run ildasm or ilasm from a dos prompt, because its
impossible to navigate the dos window to that directory.

I couldnt find the shortcut youre talking about, wait is it in the start
menu? let me check... wow! incredible! a dos menu from there? is there an
emoticon for great relief? I spent HOURS trying to make DOS work, and here
the thing was in the start menu...

When I couldnt find the corvars thing, something that would unlock the
secret mystery of using a command window? it was just more frustrating...

So thanks for pointing this out!
