I had the same! Glass is not that interesting or visible. Best
check windows + TAB, if it is working, forget the rest.

IIRC, vista home has no Aero.

Vista Home Premium does have Aero.

Hi,

Basic = no. Premium = yes.

I suspect an unsupported video adapter is in use. Perhaps Mike will tell us
what display card he's using.

Premium does, I am using it.
The ability to see the document behind is of limited value!
The ability to scroll through open documents is worth the change.

I was looking for an answer, but I might as well tell you what I found. Maybe you'll have more luck. When vista installs, it runs a little check to see if your computer can handle aero. Yours might not be able to.

Mine has this problem because I did a clean install (format) and when it checked, my video card drivers weren't installed. So, the test failed.

I think I need to find new vista-capable drivers.

I think YOU probably need to do that same. See if your manufacturer has released vista drivers. And I'm sorry if you have Nvidia, cus finding the rights drivers is always such a pain >.<
