Can't fill from centre

using PPT 2002

I know this is an easy one, but I can't find where to make this work.

I'm creating a background, using fill effects and just want the option to
fill from centre. If I recall correctly, it's because I have a "title"
master and not the body slide master (or whatever it's called).

Can someone remind me how to set this up so that I can use fill "from
centre". I tried to change the layout, but that seems ineffective and I
don't see where to change from title to just a regular slide master.

Many thanks for your help.

The only Fill Effect that even resembles "from the center" is a two-color
Gradient Fill. Right-click an empty area on your slide, click "Background",
click the dropdown and select "Fill Effects", click the "gradient TAB and
choose "Two-Color". Choose your colors and select from one of the options
below to show those two colors. If your slide design has images on it, you
might want click the "Omit background.." checkbox after you get out of the
Fill Effects dialog box.

Is that what you were looking for?

Cowtoon,

What Bill said....but also....

If you want to put this special fill effect on the slide master

View > Master > Slide Master

or
View > Master > Title Master

If that is grayed out (not available) then
View > Master > Slide Master
Insert > new title master
