Can't export Outlook 2000 address book

M

Michael Stevens

I found the document at microsoft.com
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;268578&Product=ofw2k
that said to run WAB and go to options and tell it not to share.

Did that and when I open Outlook again I still can't export.

So I went back to WAB and it opened a black address book. I pulled
down the options and told it to share again, closed, restarted WAB.
Got my address book back but still can't export it.

It appears this "workaround" does nothing unless I'm missing
something.

Anyone know how I can actually export my address book?

Thanks,

Mike

Outlook doesn't use a WAB -- the WAB is strictly an Outlook Express file.
If you choose to share contacts between Outlook and OE, there is no WAB.
All Outlook contact info is stored in Outlook's Contacts folder (and in any
other Contact-type folders you may create on your own). The Outlook Address
Book is just another view of your Contacts folder(s).

To export your contacts, go to File | Import and Export (in Outlook's main
window) and go from there.
