Can't export OE msgs for later import to Outlook

File/Export/Msgs gives can't find IMAP.
How can I get IMAP?
Or, find my OE msgs so I can import them into Outlook
when I upgrade from Win98 to XP/Home?

You can always wait until Outlook is installed and then go to FILES (on
Outlook) and IMPORT and import both your email settings so you do not have
to set up a new account and then go to import email and it will pull in your
mail and rules. That has been the easiest for me when I do an upgrade and
want to use OE's mail and settings.

Your OE messages are stored in files with type ".dbx". Find their location
in Tools>Options>Maintenance>Store Folder. See
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/backup/index.htm for information on how to
backup OE's data.

However, you won't be able to transfer those files to a new PC and import
them directly to Outlook. You'll have to configure OE on the new machine,
import them to OE, set up Outlook, then export them from OE to Outlook.
