Can't enter into hibernate

A

Alex Coleman

I have already enabled hibernate in Power Options.

I press shift-Standby to view the Hibernate button on the "Turn Off
Computer" menu. When I select hibernate I get this message:

"The device driver for the 'Kernel Call Process Interceptor'
device is preventing the machine from entering hibernation.
Please close all applications and try again. If the problem
persists, you may need to update this driver."

What do I need to do to get hibernate to work?

Hi,

You need to figure out which device driver is generating that message. Did
you recently update any drivers or install any new hardware? Make system
configuration changes? Possibly as part of a Windows Update visit?
