Can't enable hibernation

L

Lukas Solanka

hi,

I have a problem with enabling hibernation on my WinXP SP2 system on my
notebook.
When I try to tick the 'Enable Hibernation' and hit apply in Power
Options I always get message:
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another
process.

I'm desperate, can anyone help?

Lukas

If you're using DVD emulation software (Alcohol 120 or the like) try
uninstalling it, reboot and see if you can enable hibernation. Also, you
might check to see if you have any manufacture installed hibernation
programs by going to Add/Remove Programs in the control panel.
