Can't edit or remove acton for file type

In Folder Options, File Types tab you can add, edit or delete actions that
will be available on the context menu for a file type. I added a Command
action to the Folder file type so I can open a Command Shell directly in any
folder by right clicking and selecting Command form the menu. This worked
fine, but I misspelled "Command" and would like to fix it. The problem is
that for that action and all other actions, the Edit and Remove buttons are
not available. I can only add new actions. My account has administrative
rights. Help...

I can't delete it! The delete button is inactive. So is the Change button
to change the default program used to open with.

I noticed that this is the case only for file types "Folder" and "File
Folder".
For all other file types the "Delete" button is active, and under
"Advanced", which shows you the actions the "Remove" and "Edit" buttons are
active. For the folder types all those buttons are greyed out so the only
thing I can do is add new actions.

Thanks,

Right before I read your message I had found my misstyped action in the
registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\. I deleted it and was able
to go back to folder options and re-add it and everything looked good.

I then noticed that it was opening the prompt in the selected directory when
I did it in the left pane (Folders), but in the parent directory when I did
it in the right pane.

When I added the one from your script under
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\, it always opens in the selected
directory. So I guess I'll use that one, my only problem now is that mine
under Folders comes up using expanded file names, yours comes up with the 8
character funny looking file names. Why is that, since the command is
exactly the same for both? How can I get the one under the Directory key to
use full length file names?

After doing some experimenting I see that it is the "/k cd %1" part of it
that is both putting it in the right directory and causing the prompt to
display short filenames. That is why I was seeing a difference, the command
I entered for Folder was just "c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe" with no /k
option.

If you cd up to the root dir and then back down the prompt then shows long
filenames. Wierd.

You stated that the command lines were exact, but I now see you were using
the generic method or better said the manual method. One can't always
assume the C:\ drive when creating edits universally. And yes, you are
correct, there is a difference between the two. Thanks for your feedback.
