Can't download

I have recently overcome the Trojan smart-finder.biz. Solved the problem, everything works great now, except that I am unable to download. Anytime I try to download anything (wallpaper, .exe, .mp3, .mpg) my browser reads "The Page Cannot Be Displayed" and the address bar reads http://

Any help on how to remedy this would be great.
