Can't download updates

I am running a laptop with Windows 98 and IE6. I have
received the usual message that security updates for IE
are available and should be downloaded. Three updates have
been identified that I should download and install.
However when I click on the Install button, nothing
happens and nothing comes from the server (the Downloading
progress bar appears but remains empty). However if I move
onto another internet site (including MS's query page) the
line is still active and works normally. Any ideas?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am sorry to say that this
didn't work. I installed the VB script update referred to
on the link you sent me, but no joy. Actually I think the
problem page actually deals with a failure of the Install
Now button to respond. In my case, the button responds,
and the download progress box opens, but nothing downloads
and the progress bars remain blank. Any further
suggestions would be gratefully received!

Peter
