This happens multiple times. I'm using broadband yet.

Any ideas why?

Here's the link I'm using.

My other PC hooked up to this network using the same router and the
same
modem downloads it completely the first time. What's wrong with my
PC that
it can't complete the download? What should I be looking for?

Disk full?

If they're networked, why don't you just copy the complete one to the one
that can't seem to get it? And like JerryMouse said, "Disk Full" :)

You should only need to download it once. Use that copy to update all of
your machines.

Actually it seems related to
my ZoneAlarm firewall. I deactivated it and can now download it fine. I'll
have to uninstall and reinstall ZA and see if the problem persists.

definitely related to ZA. I've downloaded it now 3 times with ZA turned
off. When it's turned back on the file freezes shortly after commencement
of download. What would cause this to happen? This is even after an
installation of the latest version of ZA

multiple downloads aren't the problem. I want to know why my primary PC
can't seem to download it at all. The issue is no longer availability of
the file but rather the inability to download it. It seems to be related to
ZoneAlarm, (see addendum to my original post), but I'm at a loss for an
explanation why.

Any assistance you all can provide greatly appreciated.

hmmppphhhhh!

I did an uninstall of ZA and then went through the registry and deleted any
mentions of zonealarm and zonelabs and then rebooted. I reinstalled ZA and
now it works. We'll see for how long.

I have one, if you use Zone Alarm, disable it during the download. I tried
it on several machines without success, turned ZA OFF for the transfer
(making sure no other Internet programs were active to expose me to attack),
and the download completed without any problems.

Well, you pegged it. ZoneAlarm was the problem. I thought I had fixed it
by uninstalling it and reinstalling the latest version. This morning it was
doing the same thing though. What good is a firewall if you have to turn it
off while downloading?

R

Rich

Found the problem. Generic host processes did not have server rights in
ZAP. Once I gave it server rights the download completed properly.

Something is not configured correctly.
Why would you want separate downloads on a network?
What you are downloading is a network install.

Why would you want to download the file more than once? If you want an extra
copy, copy it from the hard drive, not the internet :p
