Can't disconnect from Dial-Up

I recently installed W2KProSP1 .... I having problems with
my dial up connection. Once it's connected a while, I
can't disconnect it. I even get a message saying 'can't
be disconnected'. And when I go to download something.
After about 5 minutes ... it starts UPLOADING and the
downloading goes to a crawl. And this occurs regardless
of what site I'm connected to. Is this a virus?

Sound like it could be but I would look at your data transfer to see if alot of data is going out. Is your hard drive getting pegged?

If not a virus then at least try another modem to rule out your modem being bad or try seeing if there is a firmware upgrade or driver upgrade for your modem for Win2k. Good luck!
