Can't delete restored back up files?

I had an xp backup from my external hard drive and which was from my previous
install of xp pro. I had xp pro reinstalled and was adding files from my
back up. Many files and folders were restored correctly, but several folders
won't allow me to open them and I can't delete them now either.

I get this message, "cannot delete, acces is denied". I used the same admin
password for the backup and my current loging.

You must seize ownership of these folders.
