Cant delete outbox message

Cant delete outbox message, tried in safe mode
went to folder windows mail folders in appdata
deleted everything in outbox, but its still there
and of course I cant send anything outgoing

I was hoping to setup a new identity then delete old, but no identities
How can I nuke windows mail and start again?

Known issue. See if this helps, it works for all folders:

Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista

Windows Mail doesn't do much with identities except import them
and then mostly ignore them.

Windows Mail comes as a part of Vista, and is very difficult to remove
without also removing the rest of Vista.

The usual fix for undeletable messages in Windows Mail is:

Although it's labelled as for messages stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders.

If you still want another email/newsreader program, you could download
and install Windows Live Mail; this hides, but does not remove, Windows
Mail.

Although it doesn't support identities either, it keeps the messages from
different accounts separate.
