can't delete movie file on desktop

I downloaded a movie file to my desktop. When I right-click it only
gives me the option to Play, add to Windows Media Player list, add to
burn list, Open With..., and Send to. How can I remove this file from
my computer?

Drag to the recycle bin.

Put it in the recycle bin.
