Can't delete files quarantined by MSAS

Antispyware has detected three files on my system as
spyware and quarantined them (Adware.WebSearch files).
When I tell MSAS to delete them, they are not removed from
the Quarantined folder. I try to delete them manually and
I get an access denied error. I boot into safe mode w/
command prompt and try to delete them with del *.*
command -- same error; access denied.

How can I delete these three quarantined files short of
throwing this hard disk in to the lake. My Virus
detection software keeps flagging them as a risk.

thanks.

That's good news. But is there no way to remove these
three files? It is very annoying to have to plow through
false alarms looking for valid errors just because MSAS
won't delete them.

Try restarting Windows in safe mode, by pressing the F8 function key before
the initial Windows screen appears.

Then try deleting the quarantined items from within Microsoft Antispyware.
