Can't delete files/folders in Content.ie5 ...

Hello,

I have been cleaning out my temparary internet folders

I cannot delete 4 folders in my:
C:/Doc & Settings/Administrator/Local Settings/Temp/Temparary Internet
Files/Content.IE5

In each of the five folders are .js files that are very very long names. If
I right click on the file and choose delete, nothing happens. If i try and
delete the whole folder (example, STIVGD2R) and everything in it, i get
stopped with:
Cannot delete 137378~1.JS: Cannot find the specified file.
Make sure you specify the correct path and filename.

I have tried to delete these files and folders in safe mode, and in the safe
mode command prompt using dos commands. Appears to delete it, but upon
reboot, the files and folders are still there..

an example of one of the files is
nfl;arena=nfl;site=fantasy;prod=opm;svl=free;type=psa;user=Named;ct=USA;st=MA;gend=M;age=B;occ=7;Seg=nonaol;ctype=lan;lang=en-us;lang=en-us;vpmp=yes;cust=yes;fteam=nfl-NE[1].JS

Obviously this a one heck of a cookie for some fantasy football thing i must
have signed up for a while ago? don't remember..
But i am not able to delete this file, or the 10 others just like it in the
folder. All five folders are very similar with the .js files. About 12
files in each folder.

Can anyone offer an help of how to delete these folders?

Jay -

I've had the same problem. Log on as a different user than the one you're
deleting the files for - this will also allow you to delete index.dat in the
content.ie5 folder.

hi rob,

i am able to delete the index.dat and the desktop.ini files no problem.
it's the other files that completely ignore the delete command..
i am logged in admin but never get the "not authorized" warning.

any other ideas?
