I have a 4GB video file that I download from my DV
camera. I want to delete a file (in fact I don't know
how it got saved on my c drive, I saved it on another
partition...it is actually under a yahoo attachment
folder under my documents & settings...etc.). Anyway,
when I go to delete it, it won't delete. It says that
the file is in use by another program.

I have tried restarting, safe mode, closing services and
running Norton System Works (disk doctor, etc). Any
ideas out there would be very appreciated.

Thank you.

Now you will only have the command prompt and the task manager. In the Command Prompt, DEL the offending files (DEL *.mpg, DEL mus*.avi, DEL test.wmv, etc.)
The files should now delete without a problem. Now go back to the task manager and click on the Applications tab. Click the "New Task..." button. in the dialog, type Explorer.Exe and click OK.
Note: You can open the Task Manager by using Ctrl+Alt+De
You can also delete it by using the Command Prompt in Safe Mod
