Can't delete file: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

I have two files like this. They both show as in use when
I try to do a backup.

Any way to delete a file with this error?
 
Hi

Try deleting the file(s) from a command prompt. Failing that, try Safe
Mode.
 
I got the same error from both the command prompt and
safe mode when I try to delete the files.

Any other ideas?
 
Hi

What kind of files are they and where did they come from? If they have a
'Read Only' attribute, try disabling that.
