Cant delete .exe files

I have downloaded a couple of .exe files by mistake but i can delete them.
When i try to delete it says file is being used by another program, but i
cant find which program is using them. please help me to delete these files

Please restart your PC and try deleting those files again. If it fails,
please boot into Safe mode and delete those files.
