Can't delete document in print queue

I am using XP Pro and have a document stuck in the print queue of my
printer. I have pressed cancel/delete but it is still there.
Is there a tweak/utility I can use that will "flush" the print queue so
all the documents will be cleared. This would be useful not just for now
but for "psring cleaning" e.g. every month.
Thanks
PS Printer is Epson C40UX (USB) and the print document is stuck in a
LPT1 queue but I have no printer connected via LPT1.

Restarting Windows should help here.
