Can't delete desktop items...

....at least, I delete them, but they just pop back up when
I log on again. Help much appreciated, as I'm used to
constantly re-organising my desktop, and it's getting
extremely full. Only started within the last couple of
months, is it something to do with synchronisation?

You probably use a mandatory profile. Talk to your
network administrator!

If I didn't use folders to collect up pieces of projects, etc., my icons would spread all the way into the second monitor.
