Can't delete a registry entry

Hi

When I go into my registry and navigate down, I come across a section as
below:

HK Local machine\system\control\set001\enum\root\legacy

Legacy contains a lot of lines, and when I try to delete any of them, the
system will not allow me to do so. One of the entries referes to a programme
I am trying to get rid of called Snoopfree. I seem to be able to delete all
other entries in the Registry for Snoopfree except for the ones in LEGACY as
above.

Has anyone any idea what this

HK Local machine\system\control\set001\enum\root\legacy

is all about and why I can't delete anything in it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

I have the same problem - I need to delete the password key and reset in
order for Outlook to work on my server. It will not allow me to delete a
subkey even though my permissions settings are correct. There is nothing in
the knowedgebase about this problem that I can find.
