can't delete a mail

Hello,

Outlook 2000.

I have a mail in the Deleted Items folder impossible to delete completly.
When I try to delete this mail definitly or when I try to empty the folder,
Outlook send an error message and close itself and when I restart it, it's
take a veeerrrryyyy looooong time to start.


Suggestions ?

Create a new PST. If the PST with the problem is your default delivery
location, make the new PST your delivery location. Copy all your mail
(except for the Deleting Items folder, of course), Contacts, Tasks, etc.
from the old PST to the new one. Close the old one and delete it.
