Can't create .wma files in MP9 as before

I posted the following on the Media Player NG and amazingly got no reply. I
notice a lot of MP posts on here so hope this isn't an "OT" post. But
there's gotta bean answer as I did this at one time...

When I first got Windows xp, I discovered that the media player was vastly
improved. I started experimenting and found I could create files from CD
tracks with the .wma extension-easily movable individual tracks on the
computer. I later upgraded from v. 8 to v.9 when it became available but
had not tried to make any more audio files under it.

I recently decided to try adding tracks from other CD's with the .wma
extension, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how. I've gone
through every menu and option Media Player allows, can create playlists and
add to the "library", but no individual files. Was this ability lost with
the upgrade or what am I missing ? Media Player does not have your standard
menus, Help in the thing is anything but, so I'm stumped.

All that stuff is still there. WMP9 by default hides the menus. You have to
hold your cursor near the top of it and the menus should appear. Then go
into view and set it how you like. You'll then see the side menu bar that
has the copy from cd option.

You're welcome.

Thanks PH. My menus are available as I set it so; only go when I go to Full
Screen. But will take a closer look at View. Knew I was missing
something...
