Can't create BCM database or OA97

Clinton, I appreciate your answer. However at this point I have managed to
screw things up and need to go a different direction. Hopefully you can help
me. I uninstalled BCM and SQL server and OA07 because I believed that there
was some ghosts from an earlier configuration. I have upgraded from Office 03
and OA06. At any rate I can not get either BCM or OA07 to reinstall. Neither
can develop a database. I have tried to reinstall SQL server express
independantly but I get a message that the setup file sqlwriter.msi can not
be found and to reinstall the setup package. I have searched MS web site
looking for a way to get the file and or reinstall SQL writer but to no
avail. Do you have any idea how I can get these programs back online? Thanks,
Jim

First, go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall BCM and OA 2007. Next,
uninstall the following:
- Microsoft Office Small Business Connectivity Components
- Microsoft SQL Server Native Client
- Microsoft SQL Server Setup Support Files (English)
- Microsoft SQL Server VSS Writer

Now install BCM and OA from the original disks or download files.

Clinton, bingo! You're da man! It all appears to be back an operating.
Unfortunatly so is the shutting down and sending error reports. There is
something seriously wrong with this new interface. I simply can't get much
done for waiting on it to send error reports to MS. So, I am back to the
original post. What is making this thing run so terribly slow?

Yes, the interrelated products here are Outlook 07 With BCM, OA07 and
desktop search. I would think that it would not take days to index things but
maybe I am wrong. Even so, why would it keep shutting down? My installation
as of today, fresh Windows XP repair job, new install of Office07 and OA07.
Again, I would like to use the features but if I have to wait around after
every entry for this to index and grind away I will not be able to be
productive at all. Jim
