Can't copy directories from WinME to Win2K computers?

Even though I have sharing set to TRUE, it refuses to allow me to
copy or movedirectories from my WinME computer to my Win2K
computer.

Why might that be?

Also, BTW, the Win2k computer requires me to enter a password
to access its files. The other three computers on my LAN do not.
How can I disable that?

Well, a workaround I found was to create directories on the destination
machine and to copy all the files.

But I still haven't figured out the need for password entry,
and I've tried everything!

Is that a challenge or what?
