So you have your XBox plugged into your PC, Is your PC also plugged into
your Internet?
I'm sorry, simple question, but it would suck if it wasn't the case.
Assumeing you have your DSL/Cable modem plugged into 1 LAN port and your
XBox plugged into another, you need to setup Internet Connection Sharing in
Vista.
Basically from Network and Sharing Center,
select the LAN connection that goes to your DSL/Cable modem/Internet
connection.
Click View Status.
Click Properties button.
Click Sharing Tab at the top.
Check the first box, clear the other box.
Click OK or close everything.
You may have to reboot
once rebooted try using your xbox on the net.
