Can't connect to the internet

I am running Windows XP SP #2 and have Norton 2005. I
installed MSAS and can no longer connect to the internet
through my wireless connection or my LAN connection. I
can ping my internet providers IP address from the Cmd
prompt but cannot ping a website. I have uninstalled
Norton and MSAS together and separately with no success.

I worked with my wireless hardware provider for 2 hours
and cannot make the connection??

Perhaps the same thing happened to you that happened to me. I could
ping any IP address on the internet, but couldn't ping any site by its
name. IE6 could never find any sites.

I believe the analysis contained in the documentation to lpsfic at
www.cexx.org. e.g some spyware had inserted itself as the address of
your DNS client. That spyware noted all of the names you asked DNS to
resolve then passed control to your real dns client.

MSAS removed the offending spyware but did not correct the resulting
broken address chain. Suddenly no names can be resolved to IP addresses.

My scan claimed it found no problems to correct, but dns stopped working.

Try the solutions ar www.cexx.org or any other site that claims to have
a solution to this problem. None worked for me. I have just
re-installed Windows 2000.

Good Luck,
Jamie
