cant close internet explorer page

when i open something on internet explorer when i try to
close it i cant so i end up with a bunch of pages at the
end and then the computer starts to freeze up i have
explorer 6 and xp windows

There are a couple of ways to close IExplorer windows.
You can try right-clicking at the Task Bar and selecting
close. You can try to press ALT+F4, and if your window is
full-screened, F11 will bring it back to normal. As a
last resource, CRTL+ALT+ESC will call the Task Manager,
from where you can force it to close.

This is probably being caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite)
