can't click on some links

I am using Win XP pro, Norton system works, Pop Up Pro I have given
permission for some sites to allow popups. When I open TVGuide and try to
open a program description, nothing happens. It used to work. I suspect that
I have something clicked safe... I hiave run HIjack this and have followed
different suggestions on settings but to no avail.. I am at a loss.
I tried to open a chat window here also and it would not open.
Any suggestions for me to try would greatly appreciated.

If using IE click tools and click manage add-ons in the drop down menu. In
the window that opens in the "show" box you want to select "add-ons that
have been used by internet explorer" In the box containing the add-ons
highlight one and click the update activeX button. Do this for all the ones
you can.

Restart IE and try your TVGuide now

If it didn't work you may need to download the latest version of Java.
