Can't click on hyperlink in e-mail and go to site/destination...why?

So, everything was working fine.

I've got XP with SP2. Am using Outlook.

Everything was fine until this morning....and problems.

When I get e-mails that have links (www.something.etc; or "click here") and
I try to click on, all I get is the hand-cursor with a small little yellow
"x". I simply can't use a link in my received e-mail to access/go-to what
the link would usually send me to....

This is a new problem....

What can I do? How to fix?

Any help to rectify will be much appreciated...

Cheers,
John

I know this is of little help but my sister's outlook is suddenly doing the
same thing! There are 2 more posts within the last few days that tell of the
same problem. There have been no replies and we have called out ISP tech
support and they don't know either! Right before that happened, she was
getting double emails and there are posts about that too. It is strange.
Hopefully someone out there can help us.

OK, here's what we finally did. She has windows XP so she went to Start,
then to Help Support Center, then to Fixing a Problem, then to Using System
Restore and restored the system to a date before the problem happened. We're
not experts, but it worked for her!

I'll give that a try....

Must be some kind of virus or something else "foreign" that has invaded and
changed how the e-mail operates.

Cheers,
John
