Can't click on e-mail links on web pages

When I click on the e-mail link on a web page, I get a
choose profile pop-up box. The only thing available is
outlook. when I hit ok I get another pop-up: " the MAPI
Spooler could not be started. Close and then restart all
e-mail enabled applications. MAPI 1.0 [000004C7]

How do I correct this?

Do you use Outlook? Sounds like that profile has problems....if you don't
want to use Outlook, go to control panel, internet options, programs, and
set your default mail app there.
