Can't clear history

Under Tools, Internet Options, General, the History
section is dimmed. I can't clear history of set the Days
to Keep parameter. I like to clear all of the URL
suggestions left by the previous user. Thanks!

There are a number of possibilities here.
- The IEAK (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ieak/support/default.asp) can
disable changing history settings, as well as most other settings on the
General tab so your browser may have been customized (e.g. by your
ISP/system administrator etc).
- Group Policy is another possibility - if you have a system administrator
you would have to check with them about changing the setting.
- A 3rd party "tweak" application that disabled the history group.
- Registry/file corruption: Try an uninstall/re-install of IE.
