I tried to send an email message in Vista, Windows mail and the message will
not send. It appears to be sitting in a que and is preventing any other
messages from sending. The error message references some addresses that may
be bad but the big problem is being able to remove a message from the que.
Does any one know how to cancel an email messsage. There is no list to
delete or edit.

Thanks for the help.

This newsgroup discusses the Outlook e-mail client, not the Windows Mail
e-mail client that is included in Windows Vista.

If "Vista, Windows mail" was not meant to refer to Windows Mail and you
are using Outlook, try the following:

Delete an item stuck in the Outbox folder:
- Load Outlook.
- Put Outlook in offline mode (File -> Work Offline, enable).
- Optional - If Outlook touches the stuck item, you can't delete it.
If you touched the item:
o Exit Outlook.
o Load Outlook in its safe mode ("outlook.exe /safe"). This ensures:
+ No plug-ins get loaded that might touch the item.
+ Loading Outlook in offline mode means it won't touch the stuck
item.
- Delete the stuck item in the Outbox folder.
- Put Outlook in online mode (File -> Work Offline: disable).
- If you restarted Outlook in its safe mode, exit and restart Outlook
for normal operation.

Windows Mail is off-topic for this newsgroup. Use the Windows Mail newsgroup
in the Vista section instead.
