Can't Change User Type

For some reason, I can no longer modify the user accounts on my son's
computer. He currently has administrators privilege. I want to change his
account to a normal user account (Limited).
When trying to change his account, it displays Administrator (with a
checkbox checked)
and the other account is grayed out. I don't have the option to make
another selection.
I also tried logging on with my Administrator account to make the same
change. The Limited account is still grayed out.

What do I do?

Tell him to log into his account, click start > run, type in "control
userpasswords2" without the quotes,

On the dialog that appears, clear out any additional accounts that are
unnecessary, reset the user priviledges for both accounts, by selecting each
accounts, click properities and selecting the approrpriate user type.

So, give your son, Limited User, plus a password.

Set Admin priviledges for your account by doing the same.
