cant change user name?

Here's what I did. I planned on giving my HP pavilion notebook to my niece
cause I was buying a new one. but...I had to hold off. I had restored the
notebook to factory with the restore disk's. and when I did, I entered my
neice's name during the initial setup.

so I went into control panel "user accounts" and changed the name from
"owner" to "Greg", but....If it goes into stby the windows log on screen at
the bottom left say's "turn off kelcies computer".

I still have "greg" on the start menu. and there is only one administrator
account showing in user accounts control panel.

I even went into regedit and searched for kelcie in computer name and
changed it to greg, but yup you guessed it. it changed backed to kelcie.

also: in regedit, for the permissions window I have something like "kelcie
(greg)" administrator.

anyone can help?
