Cant change hompage

Hi.

I have had this problem before but enabling system
restore seemed to fix it in the past. I have a homepage
that I cant get rid off, everytime I change and save the
setting within minutes it has reverted back to a page
that has no address, it just says 'about:blank' but
actually shows a search page which I can not see a
company name for to contac back (to complain) as there
are no logos on the site. I can not find any recent
applications that would be causing this but it must b
something on my system as I have re-installed IE6 and
still get the same problem?

Please can someone help its driving mad!!????
