Hi! My coumpter crashed due to a virus and I used the robot discs from my
other emachine to reformat. The computer was running windows second now it
has windows 2000. The problem im having is that my display is stuck at 640 x
480 pixels with 16 color. When I go into properties to try and change this
their are no other options and it wont let me move the bar to change the
display settings. Im not sure if this is a drivers problem or what. Any
suggestions. Because settings arent right on my monitor i cant run alot of
programs .

Most likely it is a driver issue with the display adapter. Check device
manager and see if the display adapter is recognized. Try to update the
driver for the display adapter.
