Can't Change Default Hame Page

My brother -in-law did something with IE 6.0 and now my
system is stuck with "about:blank" as the home page. I
have deleted cookies and temp internet files, and changed
the Home page default in internet properties, but
everytime the computer is restarted, it reverts to
the "about:blank" default home page.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Your homepage has been highjacked. Use CW Shredder to get rid it.

If still no joy, download HijackThis from Spywareinfo download page

Run the program and you will find many entries. Most are OK. Post the log. I
will find the problem for you.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
