Hello
I posted the problem below a few days ago and then followed someone's advice
to delete the problematic address and start again but this doesn't seem to
have worked either.
Any other ideas please?
Hello
While making a distribution list, I made a mistake and put a dot between the
first and second names of person ie (e-mail address removed)
I also sent off a number of emails to this address before realizing the
mistake.
I then changed the address in the list to (e-mail address removed)
and recorded the change but when I next sent out an email to this list, I
got a message back saying that the address (e-mail address removed) (with a
dot) was unknown.
In other words, at the moment of sending, the old address was still being
used.
So I supressed the distribution list from Outlook's cache thinking that was
the problem but it made no difference.
I have also tried searching my contacts using Copernic Desktop search to
make sure the old email address isn't anywhere in my system (which it isn't)
Finally, I have tried sending a message to the people in the list and
decomposing the addresses by clicking on the little + next to the name of
the list and checking the problematic address.
It is the correct one (without a dot between the names) but still the server
sends me back a message saying that (e-mail address removed) (with a dot)
doesn't exist.
So I am assuming that Outlook is still using the old address but where and
how I don't know
I have Office Outlook 2003 and I use Word 2003 as my email editor.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.
Regards
