Can't browse the internet

Hi,

My father is having problems browsing the net on his PC
at the mo. He can get connected but he just can't browse.
Anything that he does type, it says page cannot be
displayed. Could somebody help us on this subject?

Hi Yash

A couple of settings that could be checked:

Security settings might be too high - Tools>Internet Options>Security - set 'Internet' to 'Default Level'

Has a Proxy Server been enabled that could be by-passed - Tools>Internet Options>Connections>LAN Settings... - make sure 'Use a proxy server for your LAN... is unchecked.
