I am having an issue with a Dell computer brought in here. It will start to
boot just fine and show the Windows XP home edition screen with the progress
bar but then that screen goes away and normally the login screen would
appear but at this point the screen goes black and after a few seconds the
monitor turns offf (goes into power save mode) and you have to power cycle
the box to get it back up. I can boot up into VGA mode just fine or safe
mode and have run a virus scan and it is clean, installed the windows
updates and even tried the latest video drivers but it still will not boot
up normally. Anyone have any ideas on this?
