Can't animate PP 2007

I am about ready to dump PP 207 and go back to 2003!! I was just getting
familiar with animating slides when a hard drive crash led to a new computer
and new programs. Now in 2007, the animate "button" is greyed out and I
can't seem to figure out how to activate it.

Hi Rockhound

Which animate button? Do you mean the one on the animations tab above
'custom animation'? And speaking of the 'custom animation' button, is that
available? Make sure you have an object selected or the 'animate' button
will be greyed out. And be aware that animation schemes are gone in 2007,
though that is the only difference between the versions as far as animations
are concerned.
