I am using CD-R blanks and I have Windows XP-Pro. After copying some data to a CD (but not using all of the available space), Windows shows the CD as full and will not allow me to add additional data. This is wasting caluable CD-R disk space. How can I make the CD writeable so that I can add to it? Thanks!

not with xp you can't... see my message how do I disable write-back cache
on removable drives.

I use nero, this allows me to add to a R cd, unfortunately xp refuses to
write immediately, so I spit the cd out re-insert it and the files have not
been copied.

Buy CD creator 5 and updates or 6. Or
Nero and INCD. XP's built in burning
at the mo doesnt support packet-writing.
