Hello

basically, I want to install my joystick on my computer. It is a USB
joystick so i plug it in and it sorts itself out. However, IU have noticed it
has been listed as a 3 axis 4 button joystick which is incorrect so I go to
remove it and I get an error messgae along the lines of 'you can't do this
the device must be removed in device manager'. I think OK, but first I try
and add it manually. I click add, select the joystick type hit OK and it
comes up with a messgae 'You're gameport or gameport drivers are not properly
conifguerd. Pleae consult device manager.'

I don't know what is going on - please help.

I shall mention that I wiped my hard drive the other day to install windows
XP again which makes me doubly confused as there cant be anything missing
from the OS. I was also having this same issue before I wiped - another
reason to add to the list of many as to make the wipe my computer decision.

Thanks very much for your help in advance

Did you look at the joystick manufacturer's website for drivers?
