Can't add network printer

A

When trying to add a network shared printer (HP Laserjet 4100) I always get
a message saying the 'specified print monitor is unknown'.

What exactly does that mean? I thought the drivers built in to Vista would
work OK

Just set the properties so that it doesn't load with Windows. Call it up
when YOU want it to be there.

I am having the same issue. I purchased 2 computers, both Dell. One is a
workstation and one is a laptop. I have a home network. The laptop has
allowed all 3 of my printers to be added and the workstation gets the message
below and will allow none!

My printers are Dell 962, LJ 1200 and Epson R220.

Any thoughts???

The drivers built into Vista, may not be the latest. There may even be
differences between the creation dates for the workstation and the laptop.
Visit the Dell, LJ and Epson sites for the latest.
